připravil online diskuzi s panem Jamesem R. Reeves, který se s námi spojí až ze zámoří a uvede nás do problematiky kybernetické bezpečnosti.

Pan Reeves pracuje na pozici Chief Information Officer (CIO) a je ředitelem všech IT operací ve vládní agentuře U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM). CIO v USAGM řídí každodenní IT operace. K těm patří přímý dohled nad telekomunikačními sítěmi, infrastrukturou serveru, managementem dat, zajištění bezpečného chodu v oblasti IT a jeho neustálého zdokonalování. Jako CIO je v této agentuře zodpovědný také za dodržování všech aspektů v souvislosti s federálním zákonem o řízení bezpečnosti informací. Pan Reeves také dříve pracoval pro kancelář Ministerstva spravedlnosti USA, kde na pozici CIO působil po dobu 3 let, kde se specializoval na technologické služby pro mezinárodní investice realizované vládou USA. Dlouhou dobu se pohyboval také v privátním sektoru.

Institute of Strategic Investments (www.isti.vse.cz) in cooperation with American Center in Prague (www.americkecentrum.cz) is organizing an online discussion with James R. Reeves, who will connect with us from overseas and will introduce us to the issue of cyber security.

J.R. is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Director of IT Operations at the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM). The CIO manages the day-to-day IT operations for the USAGM. This includes directly overseeing the telecommunications networks, server infrastructure, data management, and IT Security and modernization efforts. As CIO, J.R. is responsible for all aspects related to agency FISMA compliance and IT policy.
J.R. joined USAGM in August of 2019 after working for the United States Attorney’s Office (U.S. Department of Justice-DOJ), where he served as their CIO for three years.
Prior to working at DOJ, J.R. was Chief Engineer for IT and Technology Services at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, the Federal government’s international investment arm. J.R. also had a long tenure in the private sector.
